One of Australia's most iconic coin series, the Australian Koala has been a popular design since its inception in 2008. Originally set as an uncapped mintage coin in parallel to the Australian Kangaroo, in more recent years their mintage has been strictly limited, making them popular between investors and collectors alike.

Reverse: Enhanced with a softly frosted finish, the 2022 Australian Koala portrays the iconic animal dozing on the bough of a tree amid clusters of aromatic eucalyptus leaves. As well as the inscription ‘KOALA’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the reverse includes the coin’s weight, purity and year-date.
Obverse: The obverse of each coin bears the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.
