The reverse portrays a kangaroo and its joey bounding across a flat, grassy plain with hillocks on the horizon. Including the inscription ‘KANGAROO’, the reverse incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark as well as the coin’s weight, purity and 2022 year-date.
The obverse of the coin features the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
