2007 1/2 oz Discover Australia - Tasmanian Devil Gold Proof Coin

Gold Coast Bullion is proud to present the 2007 1/2 oz Australian Tasmanian Devil Gold Proof Coin from The Perth Mint.

Beginning in 2006, minted in Perth, the Discover Australia series was established to showcase famous Australian landmarks, regions and cities, as well as native flora and fauna. This coin series was produced only in proof grade, in all 3 of the precious metals silver, gold and platinum. Shipping in various packages from individual single coin boxes, to sets of 5 and sets of 3 consecutive year boxes of x5 coins. Sizes vary from 1/25th of an ounce to full 1oz coins. The silver and platinum coins were generally coloured proof coins, while the gold coins were not.

The Tasmanian Devil, Australia's largest carnivorous marsupial with heavy forequarters, weak hindquarters, and a large squarish head. The Tasmanian devil is named for the Australian island-state of Tasmania, its only native habitat. This animal can emit bloodcurdling screeches.
