When smelted into armor it has the ability to withstand blaster fire, and even resist lightsaber strikes. The fractured imperium has seized whatever Beskar where it can be found, and smelted it into ingots, stamped with the imperial crest. These ingots typically present with a wavy texture due to the unique properties of the alloy, and are often used as currency or means of exchange in the current post-imperial galaxy.
